Mr. Heathcliff is the owner of both Thrushcross Grange and Wuthering Heights, and he is one of the central characters of the story. He is a very evil, plotting, and vengeful person. He loves Catherine Earnshaw.

Catherine Earnshaw is Mr. Heathcliff's sister, (orphan), and is in love with Heathcliff.

The setting is the mid seventeen hundreds to just after the start of the eighteen hundreds in Northern England.



Mr. Lockwood is a rich man and the new tenet at Thrushcross Grange. He goes to meet his landlord at a nearby farmhouse called Wuthering Heights, and finds his landlord, and the landlord's family, to be very queer. He has to spend a haunted night at Wuthering Heights when the weather becomes bad. When he returns to his rented estate the next day, he find that his housekeeper once lived with his landlord and he requests to hear their story. The story begins thirteen years before this setting.

Mr. Heathcliff was an orphan child of about seven who was picked up by the Earnshaw family. Because of the love Mr. Earnshaw shows Heathcliff, Hindley, the Earnshaw's oldest at fourteen, becomes jealous and hates Heathcliff. However, Catherine Earnshaw, the Earnshaw's other child, loves Heathcliff and they share a very wild attachment. Hindley is sent away to college because of his hatetred of Heathcliff, and doesn't return until both his parents die and he is married. Some years later, while spying on the Linton's children, Edgar and Isabella, Heathcliff and Catherine are jumped upon by the Linton's guard dog and Catherine is injured. She would stay with the Lintons for some weeks and grow accustomed to their fancy way of living. When she comes back with the lintons, Edgar and Heathcliff, who has dressed up to try and impress Catherine, get in a fight and Hindley puts Heathcliff in the attic for the rest of the night. Heathcliff vows to get revenge on Hindley. The next year, Hindley's wife dies giving birth to his son named Hareton. Because of this Hindley starts becoming drunk continually and hates his son. Two years later, Edgar asks Catherine to be his wife and she accepts because she sees it as a way to raise Heathcliff's status. Heathcliff does not know her intentions and runs away. Three years later, Catherine and Edgar are married; six months afterward, Heathcliff returns seeking revenge.

Heathcliff takes his revenge on Hindley by winning Wuthering Heights from him and turning Hindley's son against his father.  He then takes his revenge on Edgar by marrying his sister, Isabella. He does not marry her forcefully, rather, she thinks he is some kind of romantic hero. Catherine falls ill during this time and dies while giving birth to a daughter Edgar would name Cathy. Isabella runs away to Southern England and gives birth to a son, Linton.

Twelve years later, Isabella dies and Linton, a very sick child, goes to live with his father Heathcliff. Cathy and Linton meet three years later, and grow attached to each other. One day, Heathcliff traps Cathy and forces her to marry Linton. Cathy escapes, with Linton's help, and gets to she her father just before he dies. Linton dies soon afterward and Heathcliff own both the Wuthering Heights and Thrushcross Grange. Hareton tries to be nice to Cathy, but she retreats to herself.

This is the point where Mr. Lockwood enters the scene. He decides he doesn't want to live at the Grange anymore and leaves. Eights months later, Mr. Lockwood returns (because he still had to rent the place for the rest of the year), and finds that his housekeeper is living at Wuthering Heights. He meets her there, and she fills him in on everything that happened since he left.

Hareton was hurt while farming and was confined to the house. During this time, he and Cathy became friends. Heathcliff would die soon after because of self-starvation. Lockwood thanks her and begins to take his leave when she tells him that Cathy and Hareton are to be married on New Year's Day.

I really enjoyed the book even though it had a very evil storyline. It made the story very different than a lot of other books. One of the things I didn't like, was how mentally weak the good guys were. The book was a little confusing. The "H" names also made it difficult at first. I was very surprised with the ending. I thought that a book centered around an evil person doing evil throughout the whole book would end the same way.

CHARLOTTE'S WEB I  now am going to do part 2 know I am going to do it this second. When she got home she started feeding Wilbur. One day her mother said "Fern that pig can't sleep with you anymore" and Fern just sat down and cried because she didn't have any place to put him. Then she thought of something she remembered that her dad had put some extra planks of wood in the shed so she went over and then she found a tree. She thought it would be the best idea ever and she put pig wire all around the tree. Then she got in the wire and she built a little house but then Wilbur wouldn't get in but he got use to it and he liked it . This is the end of part 2 next time I will finish the story.

It is a mystery book.

The main character is Mr. Utterson.

Mr. Utterson is a smart, intellegent, lawyer who is kind hearted and a good friend.

The main character does the right thing when he vows to find out why Mr. Jekyll has been influecened by Mr. Hyde.

I can identify the character when he has compasion for his friend tries to help him.

Mr. Hyde plays a big role in this story.

Mr. Hyde is a cruel cold hearted man and a murderer.

Dr. Jekyll is a nice calm and gentle man he also is an inventor and he keeps many secrets.

The whole story takes place in London.

The author is making the point that we are all like the Dr. Jekyll, but we all have the Mr. hyde inside.  When we decide to bring him out it is hard to put him back away again.  Once it happens it will continue to grow and we will want to continue to bring him out.  Until that is who we are and who we are known for.  

This book is about who we have inside of us and if we are going to master the bad inside.

Mr. Utterson meets Mr. Hyde on the road .
Mr. Utterson finds out that Mr. Hyde knows Mr. Jekyll.  Not only does he find out that they both know about eachother but he finds out that Dr. Jekyll names Mr. Hyde his heir.
In the story some people actually witness Mr.hyde kill someone.  Thats when he becomes a murderer
In the end of the book Dr. Jekyll kills himself himself so he doesn't have to explain things to his best friend Mr. Utterson .
But before Dr. Jekyll dies he leaves a note explaining why he killed himself.  And Mr. Utterson finds out that Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is the same person.

I really liked this book.
I liked the mystery part of the book.
I didn't really like how they how they list all the details.
No! It was not really confusing.  Or at least not for me.
No! It was not predictable.
The ending was very good.

This was a book full of the stories of Christians who did not see division in them and others, but instead stepped out in faith and love and ended up impacting lives, cities, countries, and the world. I learned that differences, not division, is what our God is about. He made people in all different ways, and all to glorify Him! He gets glory in diversity. I also learned that, "Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are". I saw many times, people who were just "ordinary". But they saw God in a big way, and God used them in a big way. It is the same for us. Many times, God just uses the humble people who show their need of Him, and then step out in faith across their own comfort zones.

The book was great in showing diversity, faith, and trust in God. I really enjoyed the stories. Although, it seems to me that whenever some profit wants to be gained, and you don't really have a good author, they just write a book with a lot of stories of other people. And although it was great, I would have liked to hear more thoughts and contents from the author. And I wish it were a bit longer also.

City on our Knees is about a "moment. A moment that we all come together and our differences fall by the wayside and love fills in the cracks, and we turn our attention on what unites us." I'm not sure myself what this has to do with the words "City on our Knees", but that's what Tobymac said, and it sounds good to me. I think in simpler terms, it means "a place where people forget what divides us, and instead, come to our knees is worship of the King.' 

It does seem to be true. Although it would be possible that parts were added to make the stories better/more exciting.

Ludwig Horace Holly

Holly is not very handsome, very learned, and very strong.  He has an adopted son named Leo, and is a graduate of Cambridge University.

Holly does right when he stays by Leo and goes off with him, to keep him safe.

Leo Vincey

Leo is tall, smart, extremely handsome, despite his adopted father.  He is strong, and has a very strong desire for adventure.

Ayesha or She

Ayesha is extremely beautiful, yet terrifying.  She believes that Leo is the reincarnation of her late beloved that she killed because he was in love with another.  She is also over two thousand years old, but still very beautiful and youthful.

All of the characters start off in England except for Ayesha, and they travel to somewhere in South America.

The Author does a very good job in describing the setting in South America, with the jungles and marshes.

I don't know what the author is trying to say in the book, I think it may be something like beauty is deceptive and charm is vain, or something like that.

This is a story of love, adventure, and friendship.

Not much, it was just a good read.

Ayesha was in love with Leo, and Ustane, a native girl who was in love with Leo, refused to leave.  Because in her tradition, if she kissed a man, and he kissed her back they would be married until they decided they didn't want to be married anymore.  Ayesha solved this problem by killing Ustane.  I know not the greatest, but it was the first that popped into my mind when I read the question.

1. Leo's father, Professor Vincey, was dying and he entrusted Holly with a box, and his little five-year-old son.  So when Leo opened the box he found that he was the descendant of Killkrates and he set off to see if the legend was true.
2. They arrived at their destination and were taking by natives who said 'the-one-who-must-be-obeyed' said that they were to be brought to her palace in three days.
3. Leo contracted a fever and was on the verge of dying when Ayesha, seeing that it was her beloved that she had been waiting for, for two thousand years, revived him with her secret medicine. 
4. Ayesha killed Ustane to put any doubt in Leo's mind to rest about who he loved then they set off to England.
5. But on the way, Ayesha showed them the secret of everlasting life.  A pillar of fire that you had to bathe your body in.  But since she had already been in it and she went in again, the magic was reversed and she turned old and died in a matter of minutes.
6. Leo and Holly escaped with their lives and returned to England where they lived the rest of their lives in peace, but never forgetting Ayesha.

I though it was very well written, depicted, and set.  I like all of the characters personalities, and the author does an overall good job with the characters surroundings.

I really liked how Holly was so strong, yet so ugly, but he dismissed the fact that he was ugly and was able to overcome obstacles.

I didn't like in the beginning when the author had like all these different translations of the letter, and he used different languages a lot.

At some parts it was confusing, like when he started using different languages.  But it wasn't very hard to believe because I have read many books harder to believe than that one.

Was the story predictable. . .?  Not really.

Ayesha died, Job died, and Holly and Leo went back to live in England.

Coyote Autumn

This books name is Coyote Autumn the Author is a male and his name is Bill Wallace.

Bradley is the main character his is a boy with one friend and he wants a dog.  He does the right thing when he saves the coyote.  I can recognise Bradley when he takes the coyote.
Another character is Bradley's dad he wants his son to be whatever he wants to.
Bradley's mother:Short fuse loses her temper a lot.

It was August and Bradley lived on a farm.

This story is about secrecy and I learned not to have a lot of secrets and the problem in this story was that Bradley didn't tell any body but his mom and dad found out.

I thought the book was good.  I did like the book.  I didn't like how the mom and dad weren't hard on him.  The story was not confusing or had to believe.  The book was not predictable.  And the ending was sad.

The Swiss Family Robinson

Mr Robinson is the main Character.

He is very intelligent.

He becomes the leader of the family.

He prepares for what is coming.

Fritz Robinson.

He is also intelligent and is a good shot with a rifle.

Ernest Robinson.

He is smart and enjoys poetry.

They first lived in Switzerland and then got stranded on an island.

I think the auther is trying to make a point of, trusting in God is a good choice when you feel all alone.

This story is about courage and working hard.

This story showed me to trust in God no matter what happens.

They had no where to live when it rain so they built a house out of the side of a rock.

They were stranded on an island.

They built a temporary home.

They went back to the boat to get more supplies.

They got there animals.

They made a big garden for planting stuff.

Some of them went back to Europe.

The book was OK.

I liked how they used their resources.

The way they used complicated words.

No! It was not confusing.

Yes! it was predictable.

The ending was pretty good.
